Who builds pleamo
pleamo is a product of Polarize Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. we build security tools for people who don't have a security team: individuals, families, and small businesses who deserve the same protection the big companies pay for.
Why we exist
scam and phishing sites are born and die in hours, far faster than any blocklist can keep up. pleamo uses AI to judge a site the moment you open it, so a brand-new scam gets caught the first time anyone sees it, not after it's already done damage.
Our promises
We see addresses, not what you read
pleamo reads the domain and path of a site to judge it, and for a site we flag, a few structural signals like a login form that posts your password elsewhere. never the words on the page, your keystrokes, your searches, or your logins. query strings are stripped before a URL ever leaves your browser.
We store blocks, not browsing
the only history we keep is what we blocked or warned you about, so you can review it and correct us. we don't log the safe sites you visit, because we don't need to.
We fail open, never shut
if our service is down or your quota is spent, pleamo lets you browse rather than locking you out. a security tool should never be the reason you can't reach a site.
We're open source
the extension's code is public. anyone can read exactly what it sends and what it doesn't. you don't have to take our word for any of the above, you can check it. you can even run it on your own AI, fully offline.
