what's a "smart" check?
a smart check is when our AI actually reads a site to make a judgement: the expensive, clever part. most sites you visit never need one: known-safe sites and sites you've been to recently are free and instant. you'll only spend a smart check on something genuinely new and unfamiliar.
why the daily caps and device limits?
