terms of service

these terms govern your use of pleamo. by creating an account or using the extension, you agree to them. pleamo is operated by Polarize Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

what pleamo is

pleamo is a browser extension and dashboard that use reputation data and AI to warn about, and block, sites that appear to be scams or phishing. it is a protective tool that reduces risk. it is not a guarantee. no security product catches everything, and pleamo may occasionally miss a dangerous site or flag a safe one. always use your own judgement, especially before entering passwords or payment details.

your account

you must sign in to use pleamo, and you're responsible for activity under your account. keep your sign-in secure. you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. a family plan may be shared within one household; a plan may not be shared beyond the devices and people it's sold for.

acceptable use

• don't use pleamo to break the law or infringe others' rights.
• don't attempt to circumvent plan limits, resell access, or run checks other than through the official signed-in extension.
• don't probe, overload, or interfere with the service, or attempt to extract our detection data in bulk.

we may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or put others at risk.

plans, billing, and cancellation

paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe. you can cancel any time; your plan then runs to the end of the current billing period and does not renew. we may change prices or plan limits with reasonable notice; changes don't affect the period you've already paid for. the free tier is provided as-is and may change.

fair use and abuse prevention

each plan includes daily check allowances and a device limit, described on our pricing page. these exist to keep pleamo affordable and to stop a single low-cost plan being stretched across large numbers of users. we may apply reasonable technical measures to enforce them.

availability

we work to keep pleamo available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". if our service is unavailable, the extension is designed to fail safe by allowing normal browsing rather than blocking it, meaning protection may be reduced during an outage.

liability

to the fullest extent permitted by law, Polarize Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising because a site was not blocked or was wrongly blocked. nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
