the short version

we use a small number of essential cookies to run the site and keep you signed in. we only use analytics if you give permission in the banner, and you can change your mind any time. we don't use advertising cookies.

essential cookies and storage

these are needed for the site and dashboard to work, for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and your cookie choice. they don't need consent because the service can't function without them. this includes small values stored in your browser (such as your session token and your saved cookie preference).

analytics (optional)

with your permission, we'd use Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pleamo is used, which pages people visit and where they get stuck, so we can improve it. these set their own cookies and only load after you choose "accept analytics"; if you choose "essential only", neither runs. you can withdraw consent any time by clearing this site's data.

the extension

the pleamo browser extension doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. it stores a little data locally on your device: your sign-in token, a short-lived cache of recent site verdicts, and your blocked-site history, so it can protect you quickly without re-checking everything. see our privacy policy for what the extension sends to us and what it never does.
